Betty Hurst is a recognized and popular artist from Naples Florida who now resides in southern California. She has lived and created arts & crafts in Naples for the last 18 years.  Many of her works reflect images of her Native American influence while depicting the character and charm of the surrounding everglades wildlife.

Professional artist for over 25 years, Betty’s formal art education began early in life by age 7 with the encouragement of her proud parents.  “My mother and father introduced me to the Native American side of our family and taught me to love & respect it.”  Betty has also worked for the last 18 years with such noted artists as watercolorist & oil painter Phil Fisher and batik artist & potter Natalie Guess.

Raising awareness for a multitude of art and Native American organizations like Big Mountain Support Group, Leonard Peltier Support Group, and Yat Kitischee Native American Center an Inter-Tribal grassroots organization that she helped found, are but a few of Betty's listed commissions.

Other works by artist Betty Hurst can also be seen and purchased at Guess-Fisher Gallery, Etc. located at 824 Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples, FL.
